A novel highly collimated backlight module transforming a point light source into a planar light source by means of a double wedge‐shaped light‐guide plate (LGP) was designed. The uniformity of spatial luminous can reach 80.5% at view cone of ±1.8 deg. The Gray‐half‐tone technology can be used to fabricate the microstructures for mass productions.
