As the pixel size becomes smaller, the color performance of Color Filter LCOS will be deteriorated by strong Fringing Field Effect (FFE). In this paper, a Fringe Field Color Filter concept is proposed. It can improve the color performance by 30%. The resolution of the Color Filter CFLCOS can be increased by 5 times. Such concept can also be applied on all high PPI Liquid Crystal Display as well.
