We present a high resolution, full color, volumetric display. The display utilizes a novel optical element: the large‐aperture, rim‐driven, adjustable‐resonance, varifocal beamsplitter. The display generates volumetric real images with pixel addressable depth planes. The primary image generator is an RGB liquid crystal panel backlit by a highspeed video projector.
