We have successfully developed a LCD for Super Hi‐Vision. This LCD has a panel of 7680 by 4320 pixels, which is 16 times as many as that of conventional Full‐HD, and it features a diagonal screen size of 85 inches. A single pixel measures 0.245 mm (103PPI). The brightness has been achieved 300 cd/m 2 or higher by using low‐load interconnection and UV 2 A technologies. Additionally, the LC charging time has been extended by quad area and double source line structures. Furthermore, we realized the real‐time display of huge image data with a transmission rate of 72Gbps by high‐definition mounting and high‐speed video processing technologies.
