After successfully implementing 180Hz Stencil‐FSC on a 65‐inch color‐filter‐less LCD, for further practical applications, this paper proposes novel 120Hz Stencil‐LPD to resolve color distortion while using the original two‐color‐field FSC algorithm. 120Hz Stencil‐LPD provides a reduced but sufficient saturated backlight color to precisely present an image. The experimental results show the image fidelity is significantly improved, and color breakup is greatly suppressed.
