A new optical film is demonstrated which performs the function of traditional film stacks comprised of 3 or 4 separate films. Collimation, uniformity and polarization are accomplished with only one film, and without the use of deterministic refractive structures. Compelling performance of this film in TV and Mobile markets is discussed, as is the non‐incremental positive impact on the environmental profile of LCD technology.
