We report a novel optical switch and display using fringing field‐induced aperture change of a bracelet‐like liquid ring. To prove concept, we demonstrated a 4times4 color pixel array and a black‐and‐white single pixel for an optical switch. Without an electric field, the pixel has the largest clear aperture. The applied fringing field stretches the liquid surface, leading to a decreased aperture size. For a 230‐μm‐diameter pixel, the switchable aperture ratio is over 80% and the response time is ∼10 ms. This device has following advantages: polarization independence, fast response time, and easy fabrication.
