I approached this interesting case from my usual person‐centered theoretical perspective. After considering some discrepancies between the assessment results, the client's stated presenting problem, and the case material description, I imagined conducting my own intake interview with the client. I quickly found myself puzzled. This case discussion will present (a) the partly intuitive process I used to figure it out, (b) my impressions and hypotheses, and (c) a case conceptualization and recommendation.
