Cancer related fatigue is a common side effect reported by patients undergoing cancer treatments and can have a significant effect on the daily life of the patient. Regardless, many patients are not recommended any treatment to combat this problem. A significant number of patients have reported decreased levels of cancer related fatigue after exercise. As such, exercise has been investigated as a treatment for cancer related fatigue. This paper reviews the relevant literature regarding the assessment of cancer related fatigue, the impact of exercise‐based interventions on cancer related fatigue and adherence to these interventions.
