Two chromatographic procedures for the analysis of iso‐α‐acids in isomerized extracts have been tested. Although one of the methods—a variant of the Hansen, Hetzel & Miller procedure—performed better than the other, it still falls short of the demands of commercial transactions. The methods available for the assay of iso‐α‐acids are reviewed.
