The functions of (a) the Commission on Industrial Relations, (b) Industrial Tribunals and (c) the National Industrial Relations Court are outlined. More detailed consideration is given to lessons which can be learned from a number of issues which have arisen during the early months of operation of the various Institutions set up under the Industrial Relations Act. The responsibility for good industrial relations is seen primarily as a concern of management and examples are given of changes in Company procedure which lead to improved industrial practice.
