The effect of spraying hops of the variety Bullion with 12.5 p.p.m. of the potassium salt of gibberellic acid at the time of burr formation was Investigated over two crops In both years the treated hops were initially more advanced than the controls, but by harvest the difference had disappeared and the yields of the treated hops were lower than those of the controls. At this time both the treated and control hops had the same analysis; hence no material advantages follow from this treatment.
