A method for the estimation of isohumulones has been devised, based on their ability to combine with metallic ions. The isohumulones in beer are extracted by means of light petroleum, transferred to solution in methanoi and titrated against a methanolic solution of nickel acetate, using changes In conductance to indicate the end point.
