In collaborative experiments involving 8 laboratories, the conductometric method for determination of a acids in hops, carried out by the technique described by Hartong, Jansen & Mendlik, has been compared with the older methods already approved by the Analysis Committee of the European Brewery Convention. Using benzene as solvent, the conductometric method gives very satisfactory results in a working time of 15 min.
