A study of selected strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae grown on wort‐gelatin reveals that the micro‐anatomy of the resulting giant colonies varies with the strains. Furthermore, there appears to be a correspondence between the arrangement of the cells on this medium and that in liquid wort.
