Estimations of the moisture and resin contents of selections of English hops of the 1946 and 1947 seasons kept in cold store were conducted at intervals during twelve months. Similar estimations were carried out on English hops of 1948 growth, half‐pockets of which were kept in cold store and in warehouse for eighteen months. The liability of certain varieties to lose α‐soft resin at rates greater than the normal average rate of loss was confirmed, and several other cases of abnormal behaviour were noted.
