Dysmenorrhea, with associated anxiety and incapacitation, is a common gynecologic complaint. Of 60 patients given indomethacin for moderate to severe dysmenorrhea, 80% had significant relief of their symptoms and 10% discontinued therapy because of side effects from the medication.
