Uterine Perforation by Intra‐uterine Contraceptive Devices and their Laparoscopic Removal

The clinical features of 14 cases of uterine perforation by an intra‐uterine contraceptive device (IUCD) are described. In all but one instance the device was removed via the laparoscope. Reasons for perforation are discussed and methods of avoiding this complication suggested.
