The strategic planning process of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) is designed to gain a common understanding among the College’s members, Board of Regents, and staff regarding the goals, priorities, initiatives, and future directions for this dynamic organization. It charts a course through which ACCP can optimize drug therapy outcomes in the pharmaceutical care of patients by promoting excellence and innovation in clinical pharmacy practice, research, and education. It helps to ensure that the organization focuses its efforts on those issues of most importance and concern to its members. The ACCP’s strategic planning process operates o n a 3-year cycle. Every third year, ACCP organizes a major planning conference that includes a broad representation of its membership. The conference was designed to develop and integrate the strategic planning activities of ACCP, the ACCP Research
