A matrix of priorities was developed and analyzed in order to establish levels of priority within vocational guidance. Inputs were collected from Florida legislation, the Florida Department of Education, professional educators, and vocationally‐oriented advisory committees. By cross‐referencing the resulting comprehensive list of priorities with corresponding input sources, degree of agreement between these sources was determined. The degree of agreement determined the priority level assigned to each entry, such that priority entries for which there was 100 percent agreement were established as Level I priorities. It was determined that the highest priorities in Florida are currently expanded utilization of paraprofessionals and development of career exploration curricula.
