In this article the authors (a) discuss wellness for children from a developmental perspective and (b) present results of a research study investigating the effects of wellness promotion guidance activities among fifth‐grade children. Results reveal enhanced self‐esteem and higher knowledge of wellness information among children in the experimental group.
