A 1986 article by Albert Ellis on psychology and nuclear holocaust did not address certain key issues and made inaccurate criticisms of nonrational emotive therapies. This article attempts to correct these errors and to emphasize the importance of open‐minded cooperation among psychologists of differing theoretical persuasions.
