Water professionals around the world share many concerns, among them addressing replacement or rehabilitation of aging system infrastructure, assessing the effects of climate change, and selecting the best meter type for their utility. They also share common goals, among them the desire to operate their utilities at optimal efficiency in order to provide their customers with the highest‐quality drinking water and sanitation services. In addition to these special international focus articles, this issue includes topics of interest to utility managers across the globe.
