Wildfires, organic matter, waterborne disease, and solute loads are among the myriad factors that can affect water quality. The peer‐reviewed studies included in this issue look at each of these topics and provide information that can help utility managers continue to provide high‐quality drinking water. In addition, several of this month's features describe other impacts on water quality and how utilities can address them.
