Everyone ‐ and everything ‐ depends on water. Living organisms need water to survive; businesses (whether agricultural, commercial, or industrial) need water to produce their wares. Multiple, growing demands for this resource wouldn't be a problem if all of the world's supply of water was available (i.e., infinite) and equitably distributed. Unfortunately, that's hardly the case.
