This article points out that the key to a successful water conservation program is teaching customers what it takes to produce the water that so easily flows from their tap. Educating customers about conservation could result in reduced consumption as well as reduced costs for water utilities and customers. The article provides several suggestions for utilities in educating their customers about wise water use.
