This article provides a brief overview of five water industry organizations that are reaching out to young adults and inviting them into the profession. The article begins by underlining the urgency of this action in order to combat the water industry's projected loss of almost half of its employees to retirement over the next five years. The organizations include the following: Georgia Association of Water Professionals; Connecticut Section of AWWA; California‐Nevada Section of AWWA; Alaska Native Engineering and Science Program; and, AWWA's Diversity and Membership Involvement Committee.
