This article announces that Peter M. Huck has been named the 2008 recipient of the A.P. Black Research Award. Established in 1967 in honor of Alvin Percy Black, the award is given on an as‐deserved basis to recognize outstanding research contributions to water science and water supply rendered over an appreciable period of time. In addition to his many accomplishments highlighted in the e‐interview with Journal Editor Marcia Lacey, Huck has served as both an author and a reviewer for the Journal during his distinguished career. The article provides a summary of Huck's career highlights, briefly introduces both of Huck's sons, and lists additional honorees recognized by the Jounal in 2008. Names of those awarded the George Warren Fuller Award are listed, along with Partnership for Safe Water Awards.
