On page 85 of the article “Implementing Residuals Management: Cost Implications for Coagulation and Softening Plants” by Damon K. Roth et al in the March 2008 issue, the formula supplied by the authors for sludge production from softening plants was incorrect and did not match the formula actually used for calculating sludge production for this study. The corrected formula, which was used to calculate all of the values presented in the article, is printed in this erratum announcement.
