This article discusses quality process initiatives as a concept that mirrors the English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching concept. Viewing quality as a second language (QSL) is a way of focusing on the quality implementation process itself. The article explains how ESL teachers focus on bottlenecks in the process of teaching and learning language, and how QSL implementation focuses on a process to intentionally minimize changes in organizational language. The article demonstrates this through a hypothetical example and a case study.
