To underscore its commitment to delivering efficient resource use technologies to the Middle East and Africa, GE Water and Process Technologies has established a regional Center of Excellence (COE) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Located in an economic free zone operated by the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA), the 38,000‐m 2 facility produces cost‐effective water treatment technologies and solutions that are designed to address the growing water issues in the Persian Gulf region. The COE, one of the largest purpose‐built water plants in the region, will serve as the regional hub for GE's water business, catering to 14 countries throughout the Middle East and Africa. The facility will also share best practices related to water treatment technologies and offer solutions aimed at increasing customers' efficiencies while decreasing the burden associated with water scarcity.
