Helping managers to build and sustain their “human capital,” the Human Resources Committee of AWWA's Management Division focuses on tools to address contemporary issues such as diversity, equitable compensation, appropriate benefits, labor negotiation techniques, effective risk management, organizational development, successful hiring, and holistic employee support. Conference technical sessions and workshops created and supported by the Human Resources Committee provide the latest techniques and case studies to help managers understand and work through current and emerging human resource challenges. Also, the committee provides insight and input for policy statements of AWWA's board of directors on such topics as diversity and nondiscrimination, employee compensation, and employee training and career development.
