In an effort to honor the most outstanding among its youngest members, the engineering community has announced an international call for New Faces of Engineering 2006. Now in its fourth year, the recognition program has expanded to include young engineers from around the globe. The program is a centerpiece of Engineers Week, a group of activities for young people that are designed to help avoid a future shortage of engineers. Co‐chairs of the 2006 Engineers Week, to be held February 19‐25th, are the Society of Women Engineers and Northrop Grumman Corp.
