This article describes a contest sponsored by the Foxboro Automation unit of Invensys Process Systems to identify the control room in North America that is most in need of a complete design and equipment makeover. The winner of the Foxboro Control Room Makeover Contest will receive a professional control room design by User Centered Design Services (a consulting company focused on control room design and operations), along with other upgrades that all have the estimated value of up to $350,000. The article provides contest stipulations including the deadline for submittal.
