This article reports on the outfitting of the cruise ship Queen Mary 2 with a modular, ultra‐compact PLEIADE® system from Rhodia Orelis, a supplier of membrane separation technologies. The ship's PLEIADE external loop membrane bioreactor technology will treat 39,000 cu ft/d of wastewater, which is comparable to the size of a wastewater treatment plant accommodating a town of 8,000 inhabitants.
