This article discusses the Emerging Water Quality Issues Committee of the Water Quality and Technology Division of AWWA. The main goal of this committee is to identify and report on emerging water quality issues that could significantly affect the drinking water industry in the future. The methods used to achieve this goal are discussed, along with the committee's structure and some of the emerging water quality issues that the committee is dealing with.
