This article discusses the Emergency Response Plans (ERP) that water systems serving a population of 100,000 or more are required to certify within six months of submitting a vulnerability assessment under the Public Health and Security Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002. The article lists the requirements of an ERP and how to develop and implement such a plan.
