This article announces that Jack Hoffbuhr, AWWA's Executive Director, and Linda Conlin, the US Department of Commerce's Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Trade Development, have signed an agreement in Washington, DC, that will enhance international opportunities for the drinking water industry. The agreement recognizes the critical importance of environmental technologies to the economies of the United States and other countries, and it underscores the contribution that those technologies make to global sustainable development and protection of public health.
