If the US Environmental Protection Agency's (USEPA's) preliminary decision not to regulate any of nine contaminants on the first contaminant candidate list (CCL1) holds up, no new drinking water standards will be promulgated for them, while guidance will be issued to address potential eye‐infection risks posed by Acanthamoeba and health advisories will be finalized for sodium and sulfate.
