Many small water systems are coping with an aging or nonexistent treatment facility, regulatory agencies requiring immediate action, and limited funding for drinking water projects. Solutions are often difficult to implement because of economic situations, staffing considerations, and other issues specific to small water systems. To provide safe drinking water to their customers while dealing with these challenges, many small water systems are turning to membrane filtration.
