This article describes how Vince Lombardi's formula for success in the National Football League ‐ attitude, attention to detailed evaluations, and disciplined preparation ‐ can be used by small system managers to help move their utilities forward by stimulating new ideas and incorporating changes to be monitored against identified performance standards.
