The analysis of water distribution systems has been enhanced as a result of advances in computer hardware, communication networks, and software. These advances allow analysis to be more comprehensive and include all components of a water system, which leads to efficient design. In order to illustrate the capabilities of such hardware and software, two water distribution networks were analyzed with five levels of computers. The handling of data and output files and the running of these systems are documented.
