In the May JOURNAL, Boyle Engineering Corp is credited for receiving the Grand Conceptor Award for the Conserv 1 project–“the first in the state to reuse municipal wastewater to irrigate a crop intended for human consumption.” However, since completion of plan improvements in 1984, the city of Auburndale, Fla., has been utilizing municipal wastewater effluent to irrigate a 100‐acre citrus grove. The facility was designed by Chastain‐Skillman Inc. and Mr. Bizier describes the operation of the plant.
