When Brynnwood Condominium I Association Inc. discovered multiple leaks in the copper tubing of its plumbing system, it claimed that the city of Clearwater furnished water containing high levels of chemicals that caused excessive corrosion in the pipes and increased copper concentrations in the tap water. A Florida appellate court ruled that it would be unreasonable to require the city to infuse the water with elements that would lessen damage to pipes.
