This exchange of views on construction management took place during the 1983 Annual Conference in Las Vegas on June 6, 1983. Panelists were: Donald J. Duck, vice president of Harza Engineering, 150 S. Wacker Drive, Chicago, Ill, who has had field experience with construction management; Richard S. Gabrielse, president of Midwest Mechanical Contractors, P.O. Box 19220, Detroit, Mich., a firm that specializes in construction of water and wastewater treatment plants; C.E. (Ed) Haltenhoff, now a member of the faculty of the civil engineering department of Michigan Technical University, Houghton, Mich., and formerly general manager and president of the design‐build firm of Elzinger & Volkers, Inc., of Holland, Mich.; and Robert J. Smith, a practicing attorney and civil engineer who specializes in construction law with the firm of Wickwire, Gavin & Gibbs, P.O. Box 1683, Madison, Wi s. Glen H. Abplanalp, a staff consultant with Havens & Emerson, Inc., 299 Market St., Saddle Brook, N.J., was moderator of the panel.
