The Economic Recovery Act of 1981 has made it profitable again to work overseas, but economics is only one consideration involved in a foreign assignment. The quality of orientation provided, the status of peronal affairs at home, and individual attitudes play larger roles in determining satisfaction than the particular country or amount of money involved.
