Ida M. Sayre, associate editor of the JOURNAL, interviewed Kathryn Hach and Amey Grubbs on Sept. 24, 1982, to discuss Zonta International's commitment to fund 4000 shallow water wells equipped with hand pumps in Sri Lanka. The $1‐million volunteer effort will provide approximately 25,000 rural settler families with drinking water, enabling economic development of an area encompassing more than half the land area of the island, formerly known as Ceylon.
