Chloroform extraction was performed with three conventional LLE solvents (pentane, methylcyclohexane, and isoöctane) and three new solvents (hexane, n‐heptane, and n‐nonane) using the vapor space extraction method. Also investigated were a sequential extraction using the LLE test in a closed system and the efficiency of THM extraction in a multicomponent system.
