Improved analytical techniques allow for improved documentation of the quality of water distributed to the customer. Two AWWA committees conducted and analysed a survey of water Utilities to determine what is being done to measure and monitor organic Compounds in domestic water supplies. The results, intended to be of aid in plant design and Operation and in determining research needs and priorities, are published in this article.
