Chlorination and conventional water‐treatment processes do not remove viruses from water supplies adequately. It is imperative that other methods be considered for purification of water supplies. One alternative is the removal of viruses by way of chemical coagulation and flocculation. This article discloses the results of a study involving chemical coagulation as a means of virus removal.
